Susan Headlam
OT for School
is run by Sue Headlam, an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of OT experience working with primary school aged children.
OT for School is in East Malvern seeing children from the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. She is a member of OT Australia, registered as a Medicare provider & Better Access to Mental Health provider. She is happy to discuss Medicare rebates with parents prior to starting OT.
Sue specialises in working with primary school age children; she works with children with or without a disability.
Sue has worked both as clinician and consultant; for 15 years she delivered consultancy services to over 20 rural primary schools in Queensland – assessing children with disabilities and providing advice to teachers to enable those children to be better integrated into regular schools. She has experience in government & independent schools, early intervention & special schools, and has experience working in most disability groups (autism, vision impairment, physical disabilities and developmental delay). In 2006 Sue moved back to Melbourne, and soon started her own practice seeing children from primary schools including The Currajong School, Caulfield Grammar School, Catholic primary & State primary schools in Melbourne. OT for School focuses on providing high quality and educationally relevant services suitable for each child in their individual school environment. Childrens' strengths are built on, interests nurtured, and challenges addressed in a collaborative manner.
